It is a 12 A film because of:
. sex references
. smoking
. strong language
. discrimination
http://www.bbfc.co.uk/case-studies/education
This was a 12 A film because of the relationship between two characters from the picture that 12 year olds would have enjoyed when the film was out. I also think it was rated a 12A film because of mild bad language used which would have been better for a 12 A than a PG
This applies to my short film because I was thinking of doing a 12 A or 12 film. This is because I think that the idea that me and my group have come up with for our film would be better suited for someone aged 12 up. I don't think that my film will require any of the following things for a 15 as that is not what I want to head for.
The second case study that I have chosen is Apocalypse. The classification for this case study is a 15. It is a 15 film because of:
. violence
. extreme reality videos
. internet reality
http://www.bbfc.co.uk/case-studies/apocalypse-now
This was a 15 film because of the violence and extreme reality videos used. This is because the photo looks as though some very bad violence is about to happen with the main character in this photo. I think that this film relates to my short film because of the age range. I think this because for a 15 film more sexual influences are used which is what me and my groups film is similar to so this bottom case study by the classification fits the film.
